Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) are specialized techniques used to manage lymphedema, a condition characterized by the accumulation of lymphatic fluid, causing swelling in certain body parts.

MLD is a gentle, hands-on massage technique designed to stimulate the lymphatic system, encouraging the proper flow of lymph fluid and reducing swelling. It involves rhythmic, circular movements that aid in the removal of waste and toxins, promoting overall lymphatic circulation.

CDT is a comprehensive approach that combines MLD with other components, such as compression bandaging, skin care, and therapeutic exercises. By integrating these elements, CDT further reduces swelling, helps maintain the results achieved through MLD, and enhances the overall management of lymphedema, leading to improved quality of life for individuals living with this condition
