Naturopathic/functional medicine is a form of holistic medicine that emphasizes the use of natural remedies and therapies to promote health and wellness. This approach to medicine views the body as an interconnected system, and seeks to address the underlying causes of illness rather than just treating symptoms.

Naturopathic/functional medicine practitioners take a comprehensive approach to health, considering a patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual health when developing a treatment plan. They may use a variety of natural therapies and remedies, including herbal medicine, nutrition, craniosacral therapy, and lifestyle changes, to help their patients achieve optimal health.

Why should I work with a naturopathic/functional medicine practitioner?

1. Personalized treatment: Naturopathic/functional medicine practitioners take a personalized approach to treatment, considering the unique needs and health concerns of each patient and spend the time necessary to get a complete health history.

2. Emphasis on prevention: Naturopathic/functional medicine practitioners emphasize prevention and encourage their patients to make lifestyle changes that promote health and wellness as opposed to just focusing on acute/chronic issues.

3. Natural remedies and therapies: Naturopathic/functional medicine practitioners use natural remedies and therapies that are gentle, non-invasive, and free from harmful side effects.

4. Whole-person approach: Naturopathic/functional medicine practitioners view the body as a whole, rather than just treating specific symptoms, and aim to address the underlying causes of illness.

5. Collaborative approach: Naturopathic/functional medicine practitioners work collaboratively with their patients, empowering them to take an active role in their own healthcare.
